W.H. Pugmire

Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire has been writing Lovecraftian weird fiction since the early 1970's, at which time he created Sesqua Valley as a kind of combination of Lovecraft's Dunwich and Dreamlands. His work is keenly inspired by the Golden Age of Weird Tales and those books edited and published by August Derleth for Arkham House. Although he sees himself as a weird tale traditionalist, his work is tainted by the perversities of his queer/punk lifestyle. His books include THE TANGLED MUSE, UNCOMMON PLACES, SOME UNKNOWN GULF OF NIGHT, and for Dark Regions Press, GATHERED DUST AND OTHERS. 2012 will see the publication of his second book for Dark Regions, ENCOUNTERS WITH ENOCH COFFIN, written in collaboration with Jeffrey Thomas.
